What is Medical Billing and Coding?

Typically as the name suggests, it consists of two part medical billing and medical coding. Medical billing starts as soon as person or a patient visits his health care provider, where his medical record is being created. Medical Billing and Coding Certification

You don’t really need to get a medical billing certification as you can get a job without being certified. That said, with a certification, you have chances of getting a better salary as compared to when you work without certification.

Types of Certification are:
- Certified Professional Coder Hospital (CPC-H)
- Certified Professional Coder Payer (CPC-P)

- Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A)

While no hands on patient care is performed by medical billing technicians, the more actual medical knowledge you have the better.
